Franita Gathings. At 5'7, 197 pounds she is a big addition to the growing list of woman fighting out of the Midwest. Franita has 9 years in martial arts leading to a 2nd degree black belt in Soo Do Thai (a mixture of Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, and Muay Thai kickboxing), now she’s wants to add MMA to her list of accomplishments. With just over a year of MMA training, and 6 months of BJJ, she’s looking to get her first experience in the cage. Franita is coached by her husband, Isaiah Gathings.
