Gea Johnson

Gea Johnson has excelled throughout her academic and amateur athletic career as a scholar athlete, world class heptathlete, Olympic weightlifter and as America's first Ms. National Fitness champion. She represented the USA as a member of the 2002 US Olympic Bobsleigh Team and was recently inducted into the most prestigious ASU Sports Hall of Fame in September of 2007!

Johnson's accomplishments as a track and field star are distinguished and lengthy. This includes a U.S. Heptathlon 2nd place ranking for four consecutive years behind the legendary Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

During her collegiate athletic career Johnson has broken records and earned top rankings in the heptathlon and track and field events worldwide. She was recently inducted into the prestigious ASU Sports Hall of Fame. All of her heptathlon records still stand at ASU, even after 17 years.

It has been said by many respected individuals in the world of sports that the Sports Hall of Fame at ASU is one of the best, if not THE best, in the nation in terms of the number of sports represented and the quality of athletes in the hall.

Johnson's powerful performances took the Olympic lifting world by storm. After only five months of training in the sport, she won seven weightlifting titles.

The following year, she became the top ranked lifter in her weight class, and brought home a gold medal in international competition.

Although Gea is focusing on the upcoming World Cup Bobsleigh events. She hasn't lost any passion for the Olympic lifts. When training for the winter Olympics she 'Power Clean and Jerked' 120Kilos (265 lbs).

With her impressive athletic and scholarly achievements, Gea Johnson can certainly be considered one of the world's greatest female athletes. Yet, more important to her than all these achievements, is her loving family. Gea grew up, primarily in Fremont, Ca., as the eldest of five children in a single parent home. Gea has always helped her mother raise and support the family. Johnson values the family lessons of being charitable and selfless.

Heather Moyse

Heather Moyse (born July 23, 1978) is a Canadian athlete, representing Canada in international competition as a bobsledder and rugby union player, and competing at the Canadian intercollegiate level in rugby, soccer and track and field. She was inducted into the University of Waterloo Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Moyse received the Lieutenant-Governor’s Award as P.E.I.’s outstanding athlete for 2006, was named Prince Edward Island's Senior Female Athlete of the Year for both 2005 and 2006 and has won seven Sport P.E.I. awards in total since 1998 . In 2010, Moyse and bobsled pilot Kaillie Humphries were nominated as Sportswoman of the Year by the American Women's Sports Foundation in the Team category.
